One hundred thousand cubic metres of water with very high concentrations of cyanide and other heavy metals leaked from a gold mine into the Tisza River and from there into the Danube, affecting Hungary and Serbia, as well as Romania, killing tens of thousands of fish and poisoning the drinking water.
Cent mille mètres cubes d’eau présentant des concentrations très élevées de cyanure et d’autres métaux lourds se sont déversés depuis une mine d’or dans la rivière Tisza, et de là dans le Danube, frappant la Hongrie et la Serbie, ainsi que la Roumanie, tuant des dizaines de milliers de poissons et empoisonnant l’eau potable.
