CONTENT OF THE WRITTEN DECLARATION The proposed Directive provides that if the worker does not have an employment contract in writing, or a letter of engagement or other document referring to a collective agreement or the legislation governing his employment relationship, the employer must provide the employee with a written declaration containing the following particulars regarding the employment relationship no later than thirty days after he has been recruited: - identity of the parties; - place of work; - definition of the job and category of employment; - duration of the contract and, if appropriate, duration of the trial period and period of notice; - working time and paid leave; - remuneration and method of payment; - applicable social security system and, if appropriate, supplementary scheme; - reference to applicable written regulations or collective agreements.
