The Council furthermore recognizes the need, in the framework of a Community strategy to combat acidification, to take increasing account of the fact that acidification is a phenomenon which affects some countries and regions more severely than others and that these differences are related inter alia to the sensitivity of the ecosystems, the prevailing wind directions and the pattern of acidifying emissions across the Community.
Le Conseil reconnaît en outre la nécessité, dans le cadre d'une stratégie communautaire de lutte contre l'acidification, de mieux tenir compte du fait que le phénomène de l'acidification atteint plus fortement certains pays et régions que d'autres, en raison, entre autres, de la vulnérabilité plus ou moins grande des écosystèmes, de la direction des vents dominants et de la carte communautaire des zones d'émissions acidifiantes.
