The European Union is adopting today three new programmes worth over €150 million under the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Africa, directly following up on the commitments made by the Joint African Union – European Union – United Nations Task Force to address the migrant situation in Libya.
L'Union européenne adopte ce jour trois nouveaux programmes, d'une valeur supérieure à 150 millions d'euros, au titre du fonds fiduciaire d'urgence de l'Union européenne pour l'Afrique, faisant suite directement aux engagements pris par le groupe de travail commun Union africaine-Union européenne-Nations unies en vue de remédier à la situation des migrants en Libye.

– (FR) I shall try to answer Mr Posselt’s question about trade relations between Africa and the European Union as briefly as I can. In trading matters, we are clearly Africa’s main partner, with bilateral trade worth around EUR 150 billion, according to the figures for 2000, in other words, just under half of all Africa’s external trade.
