Calls on sports associations to include in their statutes the principle of equal access to sport for women and men, to implement an action plan to promote women in their discipline, to carry out gender mainstreaming training and to earmark a budget heading for women's amateur sport, proposing mixed participation or introducing women's sections;

Despite historical culture disapproval, women have still managed to build women's sports associations for themselves and to become exceptional athletes.
Malgré les obstacles culturels auxquels elles ont toujours été en butte, les femmes ont quand même réussi à constituer des associations sportives féminines et à devenir des athlètes exceptionnelles.

Because we are all concerned about the excesses that occur in sport, it is very understandable that we have been focusing on those excesses, but it must also be stressed that the vast majority of the men and women who are involved in sport – participants and voluntary officials in local sports clubs and in sports associations – are men and women with a high regard for the values of sport, advocates of the sporting ethic who want sport to be a means of individual and collective development.
