3. For greater certainty, this Act, any provision of an Act enacted or amended by Part 2 and any other federal law that implements a provision of the Agreement or a bilateral agreement or fulfils an obligation of the Government of Canada under the Agreement or a bilateral agreement shall be interpreted in a manner consistent with the Agreement or bilateral agreement, as the case may be.
3. Calls on the Uzbek authorities to fully implement its resolution of 15 December 2011 on the draft Council decision on the conclusion of a Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, of the other part, amending the Agreement in order to extend the provisions of the Agreement to bilateral trade in textiles, taking account of the expiry of the bilateral textiles Agreement;
14. enjoint aux autorités ouzbèkes de mettre en œuvre intégralement sa résolution du 15 décembre 2011 sur la proposition de décision du Conseil relative à la conclusion d'un protocole à l'accord de partenariat et de coopération établissant un partenariat entre les Communautés européennes et leurs États membres, d'une part, et la République d'Ouzbékistan, d'autre part, modifiant ledit accord afin d'étendre ses dispositions au commerce bilatéral de textiles, compte tenu de l'expiration de l'accord bilatéral sur les textiles;

39. Emphasises that the new DCI should foster the regional integration process; in this respect, recalls that the Association and the Multiparty Trade Agreements, if correctly focused taking into account asymmetries, may be a powerful incentive in its development and regional integration, but argues that the lack of coherence between policies jeopardises this process; urges the EU to ensure that any agreements concluded bilaterally do not undermine Latin America's integration process; notes also that while interregional relations have decreased to the benefit of bilateral relations, this shift towards bilateralism tends to increase the fragmentation and rivalry within Latin America's regional blocs;

Instead of focusing on multilateral free trade agreement talks that actually focus on agreements that would benefit not only Canada but all the countries involved, that would take environmental factors into consideration, that would take labour laws into consideration and that would take sustainability in the long term into consideration, the government is going down the wrong path in signing bilateral free trade agreement after bilateral free trade agreement.
