The Commission is proposing that each of the four Initiatives should be matched with a genuinely Europe-wide network, to be funded from the overall amount allocated to each Initiative in 2000-06, i.e. EUR 50 million each from the INTERREG and EQUAL budgets, EUR 40 million from the LEADER budget and EUR 15 million from the budget for URBAN.
