1. Following the decision of the Union to invite the Republic of Chile to participate in an EU crisis management operation, and once the Republic of Chile has decided to participate therein, the Republic of Chile shall provide information on its proposed contribution to the Union.

4. The Union shall communicate the outcome of this assessment to the Republic of Chile in writing through diplomatic channels with a view to securing the participation of the Republic of Chile, in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.

Mr. Speaker, with regard to the government's aid to Chile in the wake of the earthquake that rocked the country on February 27, 2010, I would like to know the government's complete list of commitments to current aid for the victims in Chile along with other efforts still under consideration.

Due to the enlargement of the European Union on 1 May 2004, and in light of the conclusions of the first Joint Committee of the Agreement on Trade in Wines that took place in Santiago de Chile on 8 January 2004, the conclusions of the Association Committee meeting that was held in December 2004 in Santiago de Chile and the conclusions of the second Joint Committee meeting of the Agreement on Trade in Wines and first Joint Committee meeting of the Agreement on Trade in Spirit Drinks and Aromatised Drinks of the EU-Chile Association Agreement of 13- 14 June 2005, both held in Madrid, it is necessary to make technical adaptations to Appendices I (Geographical Indications of Wines Originating in the Community); II (Geographical indications of Wines Originating in Chile); III (List of Traditional Expressions of the Community) and IV (Complementary Quality Mentions of Chile) of the Agreement on Trade in Wines.

The right of the Central Bank of Chile to maintain or adopt measures in conformity with the Constitutional Organic Law of the Central Bank of Chile (Ley Orgánica Constitucional del Banco Central de Chile, Ley 18.840 (hereinafter, "Law 18.840") or other legislation, in order to ensure currency stability and the normal operation of domestic and foreign payments. For this purpose, the Central Bank of Chile is empowered to regulate the supply of money and credit in circulation and international credit and foreign exchange operations. III. Economic cooperation The consistent and integrated approach to economic cooperation adopted in 1991 led to the creation of a "Fundación Empresarial CE/Chile" (EC- Chile Business Foundation), which was a major innovation for Latin America in that the financing of the Foundation is shared equally by the Community and Chile.

Coopération économique L'approche adoptée en 1991, afin de suivre une approche cohérente et intégrée de coopération économique, a consisté en l'établissement d'une "Fundación Empresarial CE/Chili".
