– (FR) Madam President, Minister, Commissioner, today we are having a debate that clearly shows that the evidence is alarming and that, in order to rise to this challenge, we must strengthen the cross-border exchange of organs so as to make the link between donors and receivers. It also shows that, given the length of waiting lists, the absence of such action will mean that there is very little chance of patients receiving the organs they need.
- Madame la Présidente, Madame la Ministre, Monsieur le Commissaire, nous avons un débat aujourd’hui qui montre bien que le constat est alarmant et que, pour répondre à ce défi, l’échange transfrontalier d’organes doit être renforcé pour faire le lien entre les donneurs et les receveurs, et qu’en l’absence d’une telle action, vu la longueur des listes d’attente, il y a très peu de chances que les patients reçoivent les organes dont ils ont besoin.
