If I had my wish, the very first thing I would do would be to look at a reorganization of this sector and an increase of resources to it, to create in fact a Canadian equivalent of the office of national assessments as a stand-alone agency—and not with a handful of officers, but staffed by about fifty people who could be the central core of a reinvigorated intelligence capability.
