The case of Yugoslavia is even more striking: the joint actions decided on (the administration of Mostar and humanitarian and other aid), although relatively important, ignore the real problem - there is a need for a practical and decisive European initiative for peace, capable of promoting solutions in the interests of Europe and not, as has happened, with a view to a 'Pax Americana'.
C'est là certainement une tâche noble mais secondaire. Le cas de la Yougoslavie est encore plus frappant: les actions communes arrêtées en l'occurrence (administration de Mostar, aide humanitaire et autre), même si elles ont une certaine importance, méconnaissent le problème réel. Ce qui est nécessaire à cet égard, c'est une intitiative européenne de paix, concrète, résolue et propre à promouvoir des solutions qui défendent l'intérêt de l'Europe et non le point de vue de la "pax americana", comme cela a été le cas.
