Religious freedom is one of the core issues that is forcing Tibetans to self-immolation. If Honourable Ambassador Andrew Bennett could visit Tibet and then investigate the situation and report to the Chinese government as to the realities, and also to the whole world and the Canadian population, we might find a way to address the issue of Tibet.
Nous considérerions comme un geste judicieux et positif de la part du gouvernement du Canada d'exhorter le gouvernement chinois à permettre à l'honorable ambassadeur Andrew Bennett de visiter le Tibet et d'évaluer la situation, sur le plan de la liberté de religion, car bon nombre des personnes qui se sont immolées récemment étaient des moines et des religieuses.
