Given that FRY has agreed to assume responsibility for the arrears (€218 million on 30 April 2001) of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, including Montenegro and Kosovo , there remains no formal obstacle for the extension of the general EIB lending mandate to FRY.
