In this context I also welcome the fact that the Czech presidency is making the expansion of forms of cooperation with countries from the southern Caucasus and the Balkans, and with Ukraine another key priority. It is only by adopting an integrated approach which takes into account the interests and opportunities deriving from these interests of both Member States and the countries from the regions just mentioned that we can guarantee overcoming and averting crises, such as the gas crisis we have just been through.
Dans cette perspective, je me réjouis également que le développement de la coopération avec l’Ukraine, les pays du Caucase méridional et des Balkans fasse partie des priorités de la présidence tchèque Ce n’est qu’en adoptant une approche intégrée tenant compte des intérêts des États membres et des pays des régions que je viens de mentionner, mais aussi des opportunités engendrées par ces intérêts, que nous parviendrons à éviter et à surmonter les crises telles que la crise du gaz que nous venons de traverser.
