TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

In a letter of 15 December 2009 to the ACP banana coordinator Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga from Cameroon, Commissioners Benita Ferrero-Waldner and Karel De Gucht referred to a programme amounting to a maximum of €200 million to assist the main ACP banana suppliers in their adaptation and restructuring process as a result of changing tariff rates.
Dans une lettre datée du 15 décembre 2009 adressée au ministre Luc Magloire Mbarga du Cameroun, coordinateur du groupe ACP pour la banane, les commissaires Benita Ferrero-Waldner et Karel De Gucht ont fait référence à un programme d’un montant maximal de 200 millions d’euros destiné à aider les principaux pays ACP fournisseurs de bananes dans leur processus d’adaptation et de restructuration à la suite de l’évolution des taux tarifaires.

Lastly, in line with the written undertaking given by the Commission to Cameroon’s Minister for Trade (the ACP coordinator for bananas) and depending on the circumstances of the ACP banana industry come 2013, consideration should be given to maintaining this type of instrument in order to respond to the consequences of the reduction in customs duties.
Enfin, et comme la Commission s'y était engagée par écrit vis-à vis du ministre du commerce du Cameroun (coordinateur des ACP sur la banane), selon la situation des filières bananes ACP à l'horizon 2013, il conviendra d'envisager de maintenir ce type d'instrument afin de répondre aux effets induits par la poursuite de la réduction du droit de douane.
