For this reason, I voted in favour of Mrs Bilbao Barandica’s report. I did so primarily because it introduces an exploitation rule that will maximise catches, on the basis of the precautionary principle, and will provide expected maximum economic levels for that fishery.
J’ai par conséquent voté en faveur du rapport de Mme Bilbao Barandica, essentiellement parce qu’il instaure une règle d’exploitation qui maximise les captures en recourant au principe de précaution et permettra d’atteindre les maxima économiques que l’on peut escompter pour cette pêche.
