(b) rivets shall be cold-driven, the heads and points bearing on strips, plates or washers of appropriate material with precautions against bimetallic corrosion being taken, a suitable compound shall be used when a watertight joint is required, the rivets shall be dipped in resin or other suitable sealant to seal the exposed fibres in the holes and the minimum distance between the centre of the rivet hole and the edge of the G.R.P. material shall be three times the diameter of the hole;
b) les rivets seront posés à froid, la tête et la pointe reposant sur des languettes, tôles ou rondelles en matériau approprié, des précautions étant prises contre la corrosion bimétallique; un composé approprié sera utilisé lorsqu’un joint étanche à l’eau est exigé; les rivets seront plongés dans de la résine ou autre matière d’obturation appropriée afin que soient scellées les fibres exposées dans les trous et la distance minimum entre l’axe du trou du rivet et le bord du matériau P.R.V. sera de trois fois le diamètre du trou;
