- (EL) Madam President, Commissioner, I should like once again to congratulate you on the Commission's initiative to table the White Paper on Sport before Parliament and, as rapporteur of the European Parliament, I should like to ask the following supplementary question: as both Nicolas Sarkozy and José Barroso told us yesterday, the Reform Treaty will be applied, provided that it is approved by Ireland, by the end of 2009, and sport is therefore now an active aspect and part of the Lisbon or Reform Treaty.
- (EL) Madame la Présidente, Monsieur le Commissaire, je voudrais une fois encore vous féliciter pour l’initiative de la Commission de présenter le Livre blanc sur le sport au Parlement, et en tant que rapporteur du Parlement européen, je voudrais poser la question supplémentaire suivante: comme MM. Sarkozy et Barroso nous l’ont dit hier, le traité de réforme sera appliqué, pour autant qu’il soit approuvé par l’Irlande, d’ici la fin 2009, et le sport est donc maintenant un aspect actif du traité de Lisbonne ou de réforme.
