The frustration that many of us feel here is that nobody around here supports Saddam Hussein and in fact I find it an insult that the Leader of the Opposition, a man who would stand in that office purporting to become Prime Minister of the country, would actually say, “If the Liberals are genuinely
neutral or will be cheering for Saddam Hussein, then they should have the guts to say so” (1335) That is the most outrageous statement for anybody to make, to somehow insinuate that th

Les frustrations que beaucoup d'entre nous ressentent viennent du fait que personne ici n'appuie Saddam Hussein et, en fait, je trouve très insultant que le chef de l'opposition, un homme qui aspire à devenir premier ministre de ce pays, puisse dire: «Si les libéraux sont réellement neutres ou s'ils appuient Saddam Hussein, ils devraient avoir le courage de le dire» (1335) Voilà la pire insulte que l'on puisse faire, celle d'insinuer que le premier ministre du Canada, le gouvernement du Canada, le Parti libéral du Canada ou n'importe quel député de ce côté-ci encourage Saddam Hussein.
