More specifically, the President of the Cooperation Council concluded that in 1999/2000 cooperation should focus on supporting the efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, identifying means of fostering regional cooperation in Caucasus, implementation at the PCA in general and of measures aimed at facilitating trade and investment in particular, facilitation of measures aimed at allowing Armenia to close down Medzamor nuclear power plant, strengthening the democratisation process and respect of human rights as well as a close cooperation in combating drug-trafficking.
