Pursuant to the second subparagraph of Article 96(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 it is necessary to specify common categories of intervention for the ERDF, the ESF and Cohesion Fund to enable Member States to submit to the Commission consistent information on the programmed use of the these Funds as well as information on the cumulative allocation and expenditure of these Funds by category and the number of operations throughout the application period of a programme.
En application de l’article 96, paragraphe 2, second alinéa, du règlement (UE) no 1303/2013, il convient de définir des catégories d’intervention communes pour le FEDER, le FSE et le Fonds de cohésion, afin de permettre aux États membres de soumettre à la Commission des informations cohérentes sur l’utilisation programmée de ces Fonds, ainsi que des informations sur les dotations cumulées et les dépenses de ces Fonds par catégorie et sur le nombre d'opérations tout au long de la période d’application d'un programme.

Complementarity and synergies between interventions supported by the Cohesion Fund, the ERDF, the European territorial cooperation goal and the Connecting Europe Facility should be ensured, in order to avoid duplication of efforts and to guarantee the optimal linkage of different types of infrastructure at local, regional and national level, and throughout the Union.
Il y a lieu d'assurer la complémentarité et les synergies entre les interventions soutenues par le Fonds de cohésion, le FEDER, la coopération territoriale européenne et le mécanisme pour l'interconnexion en Europe de manière à éviter les doubles emplois et à garantir des liaisons optimales entre les différents types d'infrastructures au niveau local, régional et national ainsi que sur tout le territoire de l'Union.
