Condemns the behaviour and intentions of those who deliberately set fires and destroyed thousands of hectares of protected woodland and Mediterranean vegetation; expresses deep concern at the existence of links between local criminal organisations and the destruction of woodland and/or protected land, and calls on national authorities to tighten up legislation to combat these appalling acts, which occur time and time again in the same areas;
7. condamne les actes et les intentions de ceux qui ont volontairement mis le feu et détruit des milliers d'hectares de forêt protégée et de végétation méditerranéenne; se déclare profondément préoccupé par l'existence de liens entre des organisations criminelles locales et la destruction de forêts et/ou de zones protégées, et invite les autorités nationales à durcir les dispositions législatives visant à combattre ces actes ignobles, qui se répètent toujours à nouveau dans les mêmes lieux;
