Had the Supreme Court of Canada had the benefit of full argument, not only in the course of arguments by counsel present but, as we heard this morning, from the attorneys general of the provinces, I think those attorneys general and those counsel would have said that the Feeney case where someone was cruelly bludgeoned to death is very different from the Hunter case where the combines and investigation branch wanted to go in and search the offices of The Edmonton Journal.
Si la Cour suprême du Canada avait pu bénéficier d'une argumentation complète, si elle avait entendu, non pas seulement les arguments présentés par les avocats présents, mais, comme nous l'avons entendu ce matin, ceux des procureurs généraux des provinces, lesquels procureurs généraux et avocats auraient dit que l'affaire Feeney où quelqu'un a été cruellement matraqué à mort est très différente de l'affaire Hunter, où le service des enquêtes sur les coalitions voulait entrer dans les bureaux de l'Edmonton Journal pour y perquisitionner.
