ANNEXE DECLARATION COMMUNE SUR LE DIALOGUE POLITIQUE Les Etats de l'AELE parties à l'Accord sur l'Espace économique européen et l'Union européenne, rappelant la déclaration sur le dialogue politique annexée à l'Accord sur l'Espace économique européen et réaffirmant leur détermination de renforcer leur dialogue sur les questions de politique étrangère d'intérêt commun, sont convenus : - d'organiser régulièrement des réunions entre les premiers ministres des Etats de l'AELE parties à l'Accord sur l'Espace économique européen, d'une part, et le président du Conseil européen et le président de la Commission européenne, d'autre part ; - de procéder à des échanges de vues informels au niveau ministériel lors des sessions du Conseil de l'Espace économique européen.

4) FRAMEWORK FOR DIALOGUE AND CONSULTATIONS In addition to the full use of all existing regular consultation mechanisms, both Parties have decided to strengthen their mechanisms for consultation and substantial cooperation on global and bilateral issues : - especially they have decided to hold annual consultations in Europe or in Japan between, on the one hand, the President of the European Council and the President of the Commission and, on the other, the Japanese Prime Minister ; - an annual meeting continues to be held between the Commission and the Japanese Government at ministerial level ; - six-monthly consultations continue to be held between the Foreign Ministers of the Community and the Member of the Commission responsible for external relations (Troika) and the Japanese Foreign Minister ; - the representatives of Japan are briefed by the Presidency of European Political Cooperation following ministerial political cooperation meetings, and Japan informs the representatives of the Community of Japanese Government's foreign policy.
4) CADRE POUR LE DIALOGUE ET LES CONSULTATIONS En plus de la pleine utilisation de tous les mécanismes de consultation régulière existants, les deux parties ont décidé de renforcer leurs mécanismes de consultation et de coopération substantielle sur les questions globales et bilatérales : - elles ont notamment décidé de tenir des consultations annuelles en Europe ou au Japon entre, d'une part, le président du Conseil européen et le président de la Commission et, d'autre part, le Premier ministre japonais ; - une rencontre annuelle continuera d'avoir lieu entre la Commission et le gouvernement japonais au niveau ministériel; - des consultations semestrielles continueront d'avoir lieu entre les ministres des Affaires étrangères de la Communauté et le membre de la Commission chargé des relations extérieures (Troïka) et le Premier ministre japonais ; - les représentants du Japon seront informés par la présidence de la Coopération politique à la suite des réunions ministérielles de coopération politique et le Japon informera les représentants de la Communauté de la politique étrangère du gouvernement japonais.
