In deciding to fulfil their commitments jointly in accordance with Article 4 of the Kyoto Protocol, the Union and its Member States are jointly responsible, under paragraph 6 of that Article and in accordance with Article 24(2) of the Kyoto Protocol, for the fulfilment of their quantified emission reduction commitments under Article 3(1 bis) of the Kyoto Protocol.

Various agri-environment-climate commitments under Article 28 of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013, organic farming commitments under Article 29 of that Regulation, animal welfare commitments under Article 33 of that Regulation and forest-environmental and climate commitments under Article 34 of that Regulation may be combined provided that they are complementary and compatible.
1. Différents engagements agroenvironnementaux et climatiques au titre de l’article 28 du règlement (UE) no 1305/2013, engagements liés à l’agriculture biologique au titre de l’article 29 dudit règlement, engagements en faveur du bien-être des animaux au titre de l’article 33 dudit règlement et engagements forestiers, environnementaux et climatiques au titre de l’article 34 dudit règlement peuvent être combinés, à condition d’être complémentaires et compatibles.

2. When an agri-environment-climate commitment under Article 28 of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 for practices referred to in points 3 and 4 of Section I and point 7 of Section III of Annex IX to Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013, and for any further practices added to that Annex is notified, in accordance with the rules of Article 43(8) of Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013, as equivalent to one or more of the practices established under Article 43(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013, the payment for the agri-environment-climate commitment under Article 28(6) of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 shall be reduced by a lump sum corresponding to a part of the greening payment in the Member State or region for each greening practice as established in accordance with Article 43(12)(c) of Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013.
2. 86. Calls on the Council and the Commission to respect their commitments under Article 8 (on political dialogue), Article 9 (regarding human rights, democratic principles, the rule of law and good governance) and Articles 96 and 97 (on consultations) of the Cotonou Agreement; calls on the participation of civil society in the dialogues under Article 8, andon the informal involvement of civil society in the preparation of the consultations under Articles 96, which should lead to an improvementas regards transparency and democratic control;
86. demande au Conseil et à la Commission de respecter leurs engagements au titre de l'article 8 (dialogue politique), de l'article 9 (droits de l'Homme, principes démocratiques, État de droit et bonne gouvernance) et des articles 96 et 97 (consultations) de l'accord de Cotonou; réclame la participation de la société civile au dialogue prévu à l'article 8 ainsi que la participation informelle de la société civile à la préparation des consultations visées à l'article 96, ce qui devrait améliorer la transparence et le contrôle démocratique;

(10) In deciding to fulfil their commitments jointly in accordance with article 4 of the Kyoto Protocol, the Community and the Member States are jointly responsible, under paragraph 6 of that article and in accordance with article 24(2) of the Protocol, for the fulfilment by the Community of its quantified emission reduction commitment under Article 3(1) of the Protocol.
