In order to ensure that these breast centres actually work in accordance with the EU criteria, that they really do perform a minimum number of operations on primary breast cancer, namely 150 a year in a single centre, that the specialists really have specialised exclusively in benign and malignant breast diseases and that they really do carry out interdisciplinary consultations before and after the operation for each case of breast cancer, we now also need guidelines for the certification of breast centres.
Afin de veiller à ce que ces centres travaillent réellement conformément aux critères de l’UE, qu’ils pratiquent réellement un nombre minimal d’interventions suite à un premier diagnostic de cancer du sein, à savoir, 150 par an et par centre, que les spécialistes soient réellement spécialisés dans les maladies bénignes et malignes du sein, qu’il y ait réellement une conférence interdisciplinaire sur chaque cas de cancer du sein - avant et après l’opération -, nous avons également besoin de lignes directrices sur le protocole de certification des centres de médecine mammaire.
