(2) Subsection 14.1(2) of the Hazardous Products Act does not apply to a supplier in respect of the importation of a controlled product that contains asbestos and that meets the requirements set out for hazardous products in regulations made under subsection 15(2) of the Hazardous Products Act if the supplier imports the controlled product on or after the day on which section 114 comes into force but before a day to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council for the purposes of this section and if the supplier would not, were section 14 of the former Act in force at the time, be in contravention of that section 14 in respect of that importation.

(2) Subsection 14.1(2) of the Hazardous Products Act does not apply to a supplier in respect of the importation of a controlled product that contains asbestos, that the supplier intends only to use in their work place and that meets the requirements set out for hazardous products in regulations made under subsection 15(2) of the Hazardous Products Act if the supplier imports the controlled product on or after the day fixed by order of the Governor in Council for the purposes of section 133 but before a day to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council for the purposes of this section and if the supplier would not, were section 14 of the former Act in force at the time, be in contravention of that section 14 in respect of that importation.

54 (1) Notwithstanding anything in this Act but subject to subsection (3), no person who, on the day on which subsection 11(1) or (2) of the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act, as enacted by this Act, comes into force, would but for this section be entitled to file a claim for exemption under that subsection in relation to a controlled product is entitled to file a claim for exemption in relation to that controlled product under that subsection unless, during the period beginning on the first day of the second month after the coming into force of this section and ending on the last day of the sixth month after the coming into force of this section, that person has, in accordance with this section, filed a notice of intent to file a claim for exemption in relation to that controlled product with the Minister.

‘Where a product is taken over by the railways in the Member State of export or in another Member State and circulates under the external Community transit procedure or the common transit procedure under a contract of carriage for combined road-rail transport by rail to a destination outside the customs territory of the Community, the customs office competent for or nearest to the rail terminal at which the product is taken over by the railways shall insert one of the entries listed in Annex Ic under “Remarks” in the section headed “Control of use and/or destination” on the back of the original of the T5 control copy’.

‘Where a product circulating under the external Community transit procedure or the common transit procedure is placed in a Member State other than that of export under a procedure as provided for in paragraph 1 for carriage to a station of destination or delivery to a consignee outside the customs territory of the Community, the customs office at which the product has been placed under a procedure as referred to above shall insert one of the entries listed in Annex Ib under “Remarks” in the section headed “Control of use and/or destination” on the back of the original of the T5 control copy’.

(a)Member States may allow slaughterhouse staff to assist with official controls by carrying out certain specific tasks, under the supervision of the official veterinarian, in relation to the production of meat from poultry and lagomorphs in accordance with Annex I, Section III, Chapter III, part A. If they do so, they shall ensure that staff carrying out such tasks:

Where the particulars given in section B show that a significant overage of an active substance is employed in the manufacture of the medicinal product, the description of the control tests on the finished product shall include, where appropriate, the chemical and, if necessary, the toxico-pharmacological investigation of the changes that this substance has undergone, and possibly the characterization and/or assay of the degradation products.
