During its previous meeting, in December 1987, the Coucil had already reached a joint position on the directive proscribing four groups of carcinogenic substances - 2-naphtylamine, 4-aminodiphenil, benzidine and 4-nitrodiphenyl. The European Parliament has since approved the joint position.
La Directive sur l'interdiction de quatre groupes de substances cancérigènes - 2-naphtylamine, 4-aminobiphénile, benzidine et 4-nitrodiphényle - avait déjà fait l'objet d'une position commune du Conseil lors de sa précédente réunion en décembre 1987.Depuis lors, le Parlement européen a approuvé cette position commune.
