The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person(s) empowered to deposit the instrument of approval with the Government of the United States of America as Depositary of the Agreement in Accordance with Article XXXII thereof.

3. Observes that the implementation of the common strategy must be based on the adoption of a comprehensive, unitary and autonomous approach designed to stimulate relations between the European Union and Latin America in a constant and orderly fashion;

To urge the Council and Commission to pursue policies which curb the influence of fundamentalisms by fostering openness and reciprocal cultural knowledge; by offering women facilities as regards training, information and access to the new technologies; international, cultural, literary and artistic promotion geared specifically to women from different cultures; action to support and foster international associations among women; the promotion of multicultural and popular approaches in sectors such as fashion and design; the creation and dissemination of publications and information brochures on fundamentalist issues, and radio and television programmes.
2.14. The President of the Council shall designate the person authorised to notify the provisional application of the Agreement by the Community to the Government of the United States of America as Depositary of the Agreement.
