In May, there were copious media reports that some in the Prime Minister's office had insinuated that Chief Justice McLachlin had improperly sought a meeting with the Prime Minister about Federal Court Justice Marc Nadon, wrongly appointed as one of Quebec's three judges to the Supreme Court, her court.
