This resolution follows on from the Commission communication of 14 December 1999 on principles and guidelines for the Community's audiovisual policy in the digital age, and the symposium on European cultural industries in the digital age (Lyon, 11 and 12 September 2000) during which participants emphasised the need for the Member States to maintain and implement national arrangements to support cultural industries.
La présente résolution fait suite à la communication de la Commission, du 14 décembre 1999, intitulée ".Principes et lignes directrices de la politique audiovisuelle de la Communauté à l'ère numérique ". Elle s'inscrit également dans la continuité du colloque "Industries culturelles européennes à l'ère numérique" (Lyon, 11 et 12 septembre 2000) au cours duquel l'accent a été mis sur la nécessité de maintenir et de mettre en œuvre des dispositifs nationaux de soutien aux industries culturelles.
