Regarding how mandatory minimums disproportionately affect minority and vulnerable groups, I am tired of hearing the idea that someone who has deliberately violated anyone — let alone someone as vulnerable as young people in our society — should be looked at from a different point of view based on the particular ethnicity or other characteristic of the perpetrator.
