I did not put this draft on the agenda for this week’s meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council, because a number of Member States, especially the new Member States, said that they would like to be able to examine in detail the draft that the older members had already examined prior to enlargement.
Je n’ai pas mis ce projet à l’ordre du jour du Conseil JAI de cette semaine-ci, parce qu’un certain nombre d’États membres, et notamment les nouveaux États membres, ont exprimé le souhait de pouvoir analyser en détail le texte que les anciens avaient déjà examiné avant l’élargissement.
