Essentially, the activities of screening, investigation, preparation of cases for decision-making, issuing pardons, and notification of pardons awarded is estimated to result in a direct cost to the Board of $120 per pardon application ; decisions by Board members to grant, deny or revoke pardons is estimated to result in a direct cost of $3 per pardon application; mail services, postage and records management is estimated to result in a direct cost of $10 per pardon application; and processing of payments received and refunds granted is estimated to result in a direct cost of $2 per pardon application.
