The European Commission, Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, is hereby launching the following call for proposals in order to award grants to projects in accordance with the priorities and objectives defined in the 2018 Work Programme in the field of the trans-European telecommunication networks under the Connecting Europe Facility for the period 2014-2020.

As already announced in 2000, an initiative in the field of telecommunications was launched in 1997 by the Directorates-General for the Information Society and Regional Policy to improve the quality of local information on tourism and SMEs through a critical mass of interoperable and reliable information.

The Management Board, acting on a proposal from the Executive Director and after consulting the EDPS, shall further specify the conditions relating to the processing of such data, in particular with respect to access to and use of the data, as well as time limits for the storage and deletion of the data, which may not exceed six months, having due regard to the principles referred to in Article 28.

7. The Executive Director shall as soon as possible inform the Management Board and the EDPS of the cases in which paragraph 5 has been applied.

11. Is concerned by the fact that while the Agency has been found blameworthy by the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) for breaching Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 on several occasions to the detriment of its staff, it not only did not comply with the EDPS' recommendation but moreover sued the EDPS in respect of his conclusions; notes the General Court's decision that the Agency did not respect the time-limit for bringing an action in annulment and the action was therefore considered manifestly inadmissible; urges the Executive Director to make sure that the Agency immediately complies with the EDPS' recommendation;
11. s'inquiète de ce que l'agence, alors que le Contrôleur européen de la protection des données (CEPD) lui reprochait d'avoir, à plusieurs reprises, enfreint le règlement (CE) n° 45/2001 au détriment de son personnel, non seulement n'ait pas suivi les recommandations du CEDP mais qu'elle ait cru bon, au contraire, d'attaquer le CEDP pour avoir tiré de telles conclusions; prend acte de l'ordonnance du Tribunal selon laquelle l'Agence n'a pas respecté le délai pour former un recours en annulation et le recours était considéré par conséquent comme manifestement irrecevable; demande instamment au directeur exécutif de veiller à ce que l'Agence se conforme immédiatement aux recommandations du CEPD;

90. Has taken a different view of the Council and accepted the creation of two additional permanent posts (1 AD 9 and 1 AD 6) in the EDPS' establishment plan because of the new tasks for this institution conferred to it by Article 16 TFEU as it is the task of the EDPS to monitor and ensure that these rights are respected (all EU institutions and bodies are bound by the fundamental rights to privacy and protection of personal data); accepts in order to comply with legal obligations the upgrading of its director from AD 14 to AD 15, although the total staff of the EDPS is 43 posts;
90. ne partage pas la position du Conseil et accepte la création de deux postes permanents supplémentaires (un AD9 et un AD6) dans le tableau des effectifs du contrôleur en raison des nouvelles tâches confiées à l'institution par l'article 16 du traité FUE et parce qu'il incombe au contrôleur de veiller à ce que ces droits soient respectés (toutes les institutions et organes de l'UE doivent respecter les droits fondamentaux à la vie privée et à la protection des données à caractère personnel); accepte, dans un souci de respect des obligations juridiques, la revalorisation du grade du directeur de AD14 en AD15 bien que l'effectif total de l'institution se chiffre à 43 postes;

95.
