In this respect, your draftsman strongly urges those countries who have not yet done so to ratify the Strasbourg Convention, which comes under the auspices of the Council of Europe. One of the main purposes of this Convention is to facilitate and promote international cooperation, and this will be even more urgent after the introduction of the single currency.
