Last Friday, the Toronto Star reported that the Minister of Canadian Heritage was against sponsorship by tobacco companies, even at the cost of killing cultural and sporting events like the Du Maurier Downtown Jazz Festival in Toronto, the International Film Festival in Vancouver, the Formula One Grand Prix and all summer festivals in Montreal and elsewhere.
Vendredi dernier, le Toronto Star rapportait que la ministre du Patrimoine s'opposait aux commandites des compagnies de tabac, même si cela devait avoir pour résultat de mettre fin à des événements culturels et sportifs, comme le Du Maurier Downtown Jazz de Toronto, le Festival international du cinéma de Vancouver, le Grand Prix de Formule I, et tous ces festivals d'été de Montréal et d'ailleurs.
