In line with its previous decision Boskalis/HBG last year the proposed merger of the two leading Dutch dredging companies which was cleared by the Commission but then abandoned by the Parties (see IP/00/710 of 5 July 2000) - the markets considered by the Commission were the market for large dredging projects, which has an international or at least EEA-wide scope, and the Dutch market for small dredging projects, which has a national scope.
