The theme of this year's texts was volunteering (to mark the European Year of Volunteering 2011), but each language test featured different facets of the subject: the Dutch text, for instance, focused on restoring a church in Tuscany; the French translation paper focused on beach cleaning, the Polish one on working in a Chilean school for under-privileged children.
Les textes à traduire ont abordé cette année le thème du bénévolat (pour célébrer 2011, «Année européenne du bénévolat») qui était décliné sous des aspects différents selon les langues: le texte néerlandais, par exemple, portait sur la restauration d’une église en Toscane. Le texte français parlait de nettoyage des plages et le polonais, du travail dans une école pour enfants défavorisés au Chili.
