Based on the forthcoming report of the Task Force on Smart Grids, the Commission will define further targets for the deployment of smart grid components, revise and broaden standardisation mandates, develop guidance on key performance indicators, and identify potential Projects of Common Interest[30] for trans-European energy infrastructure (end-2012).
