Reports have been received to the effect that Moroccan fishing grounds are being worked, on the basis of private agreements, by pelagic trawlers from EU countries, the fishing capacity of which is said to exceed that of the entire European fleet which had been operating in those same waters until 20 November of last year on the basis of the fisheries agreement with Morocco.
Des bruits circulent actuellement, selon lesquels des chalutiers battant pavillon de pays membres de l’Union européenne opéreraient en haute mer, dans la zone de pêche marocaine, sur la base d’accords privés. La capacité de pêche de ces embarcations serait même supérieure à la capacité annuelle de l’ensemble de la flotte européenne, qui a pêché dans cette même zone jusqu’au 20 novembre dernier, sur la base d’un accord de pêche conclu avec le Maroc.
