IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Due to technical reasons, transitional periods should be laid down to cover food to which any of the five flavouring substances have been added, which has been placed on the market or dispatched from third countries for the Union, before the entry into force of this Regulation.

1. Foods to which any of the five flavouring substances have been added: p-mentha-1,8-dien-7-ol (FL No 02.060), myrtenol (FL No 02.091), myrtenal (FL No 05.106), p-mentha-1,8-dien-7-yl acetate (FL No 09.278) and myrtenyl acetate (FL No 09.302) which do not comply with the conditions set out in the Annex to this Regulation and were lawfully placed on the market before the entry into force of this Regulation, may be marketed until their date of minimum durability or use by date.

Les denrées alimentaires auxquelles l'une des cinq substances aromatisantes suivantes a été ajoutée, à savoir p-mentha-1,8-dién-7-ol (no FL 02.060), myrténol (no FL 02.091), myrténal (no FL 05.106), acétate de p-mentha-1,8-dién-7-yle (no FL 09.278) et acétate de myrtényle (no FL 09.302), qui ne satisfont pas aux conditions énoncées à l'annexe du présent règlement et qui ont été légalement mises sur le marché avant l'entrée en vigueur du présent règlement peuvent être commercialisées jusqu'à leur date de durabilité minimale ou leur date limite de consommation.

Foods containing the five flavouring substances mentioned in the Annex to this Regulation which are lawfully placed on the market or labelled prior to 9 months after the entry into force of this Regulation which do not comply with Part A of Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008 may be marketed until their date of minimum durability or use by date.
Les denrées alimentaires contenant les cinq substances aromatisantes mentionnées à l'annexe du présent règlement, légalement mises sur le marché ou étiquetées dans les neuf mois suivant la date d'entrée en vigueur du présent règlement, qui ne sont pas conformes à l'annexe I, partie A, du règlement (CE) no 1334/2008, peuvent être commercialisées jusqu'à leur date de durabilité minimale ou leur date limite de consommation.

Therefore, an additional transitional period should be provided for food containing the five flavouring substances in order to enable food business operators to adapt to the requirements laid down in this Regulation.
En conséquence, une période de transition supplémentaire devrait être prévue pour les denrées alimentaires contenant les cinq substances en cause afin de permettre aux exploitants du secteur alimentaire de s'adapter aux exigences définies dans le présent règlement.

Under that Regulation a list of flavouring substances is to be adopted within five years of adoption of that programme.

6. Confidential data relating to flavouring substances should be protected for a period of five years from the date of receipt by the Commission of the list notified by the Member State and containing the flavouring substance in question or of any dossier concerning a new flavouring substance.

La protection des données confidentielles relatives à une substance aromatisante est assurée pendant une période de cinq ans à compter de la réception par la Commission de la liste notifiée par l'État membre dans laquelle figure la substance aromatisante, ou de tout dossier concernant une nouvelle substance aromatisante.

6. The bodies representing the manufacturers of flavouring substances consider it sufficient to protect confidential data on a flavouring substance for a period of five years.
