5. The purchaser may, by the payment at any time of a sum of not less than ten dollars, or by the payment of a stipulated sum periodically at fixed and definite intervals, to any agent of the Minister appointed under this Act, purchase an annuity under this Act, but the amount payable by way of the annuity so purchased is subject to the terms of section 8.

En versant à toute époque une somme d’au moins dix dollars ou en versant périodiquement, à intervalles fixes et définis, une somme stipulée entre les mains de tout agent du Ministre, nommé sous le régime de la présente loi, l’acheteur peut acquérir une rente prévue par la présente loi; cependant, la somme payable en rente ainsi achetée doit être subordonnée aux termes de l’article 8.
