The Islamists are difficult to fight at the best of times, have a different concept of what this conflict is all about, and it's clear to everyone that France would prefer to withdraw and hand this matter over to the African-led International Support Mission to Mali, AFISMA, folks sooner rather than later, which is a goal with which we all agree.
