(EN) The disease to which the Honourable Member refers in his question - footrot - is a non-communicable disorder which affects sheep. The disease does not appear on the list of notifiable diseases drawn up by the OIE (World Organisation for Animal Health) and, therefore, there appear to be no grounds at the present time for introducing a mandatory official control and eradication programme at international level.
