2. An employed person who is subject to the legislation of one Party and who is assigned to work in the territory of the other Party for the same employer having a place of business in the territory of the former Party shall, in respect of such employment, be subject only to the legislation of the former Party for a period of 24 months.

(b) In the application of this paragraph in regard to a person who, on the date of entry into force of this Agreement, is already on assignment in the territory of the other Party and subject to the legislation of the former Party by virtue of Article VI(2) of the previous Agreement, the reference to sixty months in sub-paragraph (a) shall be read to refer to the total period during which that person may remain subject only to the legislation of the former Party while in the territory of the other Party, inclusive of the period already completed before the entry into force of this Agreement by virtue of Article VI(2) of the previous Agreement.

Subject to Articles 6 and 7, where a person compulsorily insured under the legislation of one Party, and employed by an employer with a place of business in the territory of that Party, is sent by that employer, either from the territory of that Party, or from a third country not party to this Convention, to work in the territory of the other Party, the legislation of the former Party concerning liability for contributions shall, in respect of that employment, continue to apply to him or her as if he or she were employed in the territory of that Party, provided that the employment in the territory of the other Party is not expected to last for more than five years, and the legislation of the latter Party shall not apply to him or her.

If the competition authority of a Party believes that anticompetitive activities carried out in the territory of the other Party may adversely affect the important interests of the former Party, it may, taking into account the importance of avoiding conflicts regarding jurisdiction and taking into account that the competition authority of the other Party may be in a position to conduct more effective enforcement activities with regard to such anticompetitive activities, request that the competition authority of the other Party initiate or expand appropriate enforcement activities.

Si l'autorité de concurrence d'une partie pense que des actes anticoncurrentiels commis sur le territoire de l'autre partie peuvent porter atteinte à ses intérêts importants, elle peut, étant donné qu'il importe de prévenir les conflits de compétences et que l'autorité de concurrence de l'autre partie peut être à même de prendre des mesures d'application plus efficaces à l'égard de ces actes anticoncurrentiels, demander à l'autorité compétente de l'autre partie de prendre ou d'étendre les mesures d'application qui conviennent.

3. Within the framework of this Agreement, in case one Party concludes a contract with a participant of the other Party for an indirect cooperative activity, the other Party, upon request, shall endeavour to provide any reasonable and feasible assistance as may be necessary or helpful to the former Party for smooth implementation of such contract.
