I must tell you that as the fourth African-Canadian ever to serve in the Senate of Canada and as a long-time volunteer Executive Director at the Greater Toronto Area Faith Alliance, delivering life and job skills for young people, I was especially proud to learn about her background, her values and her commitment to volunteerism.
