From a Liberal viewpoint, and particularly from the point of view of my own German Free Democratic Party, the objective of free and fair world trade is of great importance, particularly right now, as, in the course of the economic and financial crisis, we see tendencies towards protectionism, tendencies which must be resolutely countered in the interests of prosperity and jobs in the European Union.
D’un point de vue libéral, et plus particulièrement, du point de vue du parti libéral-démocrate allemand auquel j’appartiens, un commerce mondial libre et équitable est un objectif très important, particulièrement en ce moment, étant donné qu’en cette période de crise financière et économique, nous constatons l’émergence de tendances protectionnistes, lesquelles doivent être résolument combattues dans l’intérêt de la prospérité et des emplois de l’Union européenne.
