Supports the Commission’s recommendations to streamline the use of existing instruments and channels (such as the default use of the Europol channel and the creation of national integrated Single Point of Contacts) and to improve training and awareness on cross-border information exchange; is disappointed, however, that the Commission did not provide for a more ambitious, future-oriented vision, as was called for in the Stockholm Programme and the Internal Security Strategy, that could be a starting point for a political debate on how to shape and to optimise law enforcement data sharing in the EU, while guaranteeing a robust level of data protection and privacy; strongly encourages the Commission to come forward with this vision, setting a well-tailored framework for EU law enforcement information exchange based on principles such as necessity, quality, proportionality, efficiency and accountability and including a proper assessment of the availability principle and the concept of cross-matching;
3. approuve la Commission lorsqu'elle recommande d'optimiser l'utilisation des instruments et canaux existants (comme le recours par défaut au canal d'Europol et la création de guichets uniques intégrés nationaux) et d'améliorer la formation et la sensibilisation en matière d'échange transfrontalier d'informations; est néanmoins déçu que la Commission n'ait pas formulé une vision plus ambitieuse et tournée vers l'avenir, ainsi que le préconisaient le programme de Stockholm et la stratégie de sécurité intérieure, qui aurait pu être le point de départ d'un débat politique portant sur l'organisation et l'amélioration des échanges de données en matière répressive dans l'Union tout en garantissant un niveau élevé de protection des données et de la vie privée; incite vivement la Commission à faire avancer cette vision en instaurant un cadre bien conçu pour l'échange d'informations en matière répressive, reposant sur des principes tels que la nécessité, la qualité, la proportionnalité, l'efficacité et la responsabilité et incluant une évaluation en bonne et due forme du principe de disponibilité et du concept de vérification croisée;
