The Commission has approved the plan by the Swiss company Georg Fischer AG ("Georg Fischer"") and the German bank Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale ("WestLB") to acquire the German consortium Krupp Werner Pfleiderer ("KWP") from Thyssen Krupp and to incorporate it, along with the two Georg Fischer groups of companies, Waeschle and Buss, into a new holding company.
